Episode 34: The 2020 NFL Draft Podcast Episode Part 2, Defense (and Special Teams) Wins Championships

In this second part of a 3-episode look at some potential 2020 NFL Draft prospects, I talk with the guys who stop all the fun from happening.

First up is LSU long snapper Blake Ferguson, who unlike his fellow podcastmates, doesn’t want the kids off his lawn. Ferguson talks about following in his older brother and current Buffalo Bills long snapper Reid’s footsteps, how the draft process has been for him and what it was like to be teammates and friends with Joe Burrow.

Later, I chat with Utah safety Terrell Burgess, who talks about his size, what it was like to play for head coach Kyle Wittingham and how he made dumbbells out of milk jugs for a quarantine workout.

I conclude the episode by checking in with Stanford linebacker Casey Toohill about his senior season on the Farm, what the Combine was like and his favorite Pac-12 school to play at. Plus he shares a secret to staying centered during quarantine.
