In this long-awaited episode of the podcast, the girls catch up with Middle Tennessee State University head football coach Rick Stockstill on Halloween night as he prepares for his Friday night bout against Western Kentucky.
The Blue Raiders have since defeated the Hilltoppers by a score of 29-10 and MTSU improves to 6-3 on the season, one step closer to Conference USA domination. Coach Stockstill talks to the girls about the trajectory of the Blue Raiders season, his engagement with MTSU students and fans and his bowl game hopes for the team. He also talks about his Halloween costume and what the spooky night means in the Stockstill house. Coach Stock gives his prediction for the LSU-Alabama game and talks about staying in touch with former Blue Raider and current San Francisco 49er Richie James.
Bonus, Coach Stockstill talks about his son, MTSU quarterback Brent Stockstill’s best Halloween costumes over the years.
Later the girls are reunited with Jordan “6th Man” Watkins. Known as “Big Fella” by those who love him, Watkins was described by head coach David Shaw as the “consummate teammate.” The Georgia native was part of three Rose Bowls, including the 45-16 routing of Iowa in 2016. He breaks down the current state of college football with the girls, talks about his former Pac-12 conference and tries to sell Emily on the Georgia vs. Kentucky game. Jordan also talks about his first time broadcasting a Stanford basketball game and what that experience was like. The girls also touch on the end of the baseball season and talk a little bit about the NFL.
