Episode 23: College Football Media Days – From the Bay to LA with former Stanford Defensive Player Jordan Watkins

In the 23rd episode of the podcast the girls are rejoined by former Stanford defensive player Jordan Watkins to talk all things college football.

First, the girls discuss attending Bay Area Media Day with Cal, Stanford and San Jose State and what they thought of the College Football Playoff Committee’s Touchdown Tailgate event. The excitement at Levi Stadium was palpable, what with 49ers stadium playing host to the 2019 National Championship game this season. The girls were able to talk with National Playoff Committee Executive Director Bill Hancock, who talked about what having the championship in the Bay Area means to college football.

Jordan joins the girls in the second segment to talk about Stanford running back Bryce Love, Jordan’s former teammate, missing out on Pac-12 Media Day because of a research lab. The student-athlete discussion is a good one and all parties weigh in on the Heisman hopeful’s absence.

Lastly, Jordan and the girls break down this upcoming season of Pac-12 football , specifically Stanford and discuss college football from a national standpoint. The girls let Jordan breakdown their College Football Tour as they discuss the games they will be covering this upcoming season. They also talk about social media and sports and a former podcast guest that accidentally hit Yankee darling Aaron Judge.
