1/10/18 Palo Alto, CA
In the eleventh episode of the podcast, back by popular demand Stanford defensive lineman Jordan Watkins joins the girls in what is shaping up to be a 6th man residency. Known as “Big Fella” by those who love him, Watkins was described by head coach David Shaw as the “consummate teammate.” The Georgia native was part of three Rose Bowls, including the 45-16 routing of Iowa in 2016. He provides insight on every topic the girls throw his way. He is particularly valuable in this episode, not just for his knowledge and love of the Georgia Bulldogs but for bringing with him an all-star commentary crew: Former Stanford football players Noor Davis and Eric Cotton. Â These three defensive players help the girls breakdown this year’s National Championship college football game between Alabama and Georgia in a live, watch-party setting.
This very special episode of the podcast is broadcast live from Nola in Palo Alto, a phenomenal local restaurant specializing in cajun cooking and a popular watering hole for Stanford students. The girls worked with Nola to host a National Championship watch party while recording this episode of the podcast live. The first segment breaks down the fourth quarter of the game, the second segment breaks down overtime and the final segment features post-game commentary plus some NFL and college hoops talk.
